Georgia Jordan Buchanan, age 99, passed away in Forest City, NC Monday, October 3, 2022, at Fair Haven of Forest City.

Born in Mecklenburg County, Georgia was a resident of Fair Haven of Forest City, NC. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Glennie Jordan. In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband William Ray Buchanan, her brother, Frank Jordan Jr., sister-in-law, Sue Jordan, one grandson, Roger Buchanan, and daughter-in-law, Pat Buchanan.

She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, and she was retired from Mastercraft in Spindale. Georgia was an avid card writer; it was her ministry to encourage people with fun loving jokes. She used to say, "A Day without laughter is a day wasted".

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Fair Haven of Forest City for their excellent care. The Buchanan family, including Georgia, considered the people at Fair Haven as part of their family. The family would also like to thank her friends, and extended family members, Georgia loved and adored each of you.

Georgia is survived by her sons, Buck, John (Peggy), Don (Annette), and Mike (Shirley), and numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Shiloh Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at Shiloh Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2022, with Reverend Paul Willis, and Reverend Michael Sepaugh officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, in Ellenboro, NC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills; P.O.
