Grace H. Lane, age 83, of Rutherfordton, died Monday, January 16, 2017, at Hospice House of Rutherford County. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Amos Everette Haynes and the late Molie Gertrude Arrowood Haynes. She was a member of Piney Knob Baptist Church where she served as the church board secretary for 69 years. Grace loved to garden, plant flowers and loved everyone she knew. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Elizabeth Duncan and Martha Mathis. Grace was the widow to the late Jonas Lane. She is survived by: One Sister: Sarah Spence of Union Mills and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Piney Knob Baptist Church in the sanctuary. The funeral service will be at Piney Knob Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2017 with Reverend Michael Brown and Reverend Jerry Campbell officiating.
