Herman James "Sawmill" Pritchard, age 82, of Rutherfordton , died Thursday, November 26, 2015, at Forest City Health and Rehab. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Arby James Pritchard and the late Gertrude Davis Pritchard. He was a member of Piney Knob Baptist Church and loved to go to yard sales and flea markets. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Thompson Pritchard, two sons; Billy Ray and Bobby Lynn Pritchard and two brothers; Clarence and Carl Lee Pritchard. He is survived by: One Daughter: Donna Pritchard of the home One Son: James Pritchard and wife Jane Six Brothers: Roy Pritchard J.C. Pritchard Marvin Pritchard Claude Pritchard Roger Pritchard Troy Pritchard Two Sisters: Irene Hoyle Mary Keeter Five Grandchildren Eight Great-Grandchildren Three Great-Great-Grandchildren The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Piney Knob Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at Piney Knob Baptist Church at 4:00 PM, Sunday, November 29, 2015 with Rev. Michael Brown and Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating. Interment will be at Piney Knob Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County at P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
