Hovis Robbins Ruppe, age 99, of Rutherfordton, died Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home in Rutherfordton.

Hovis was the daughter of the late Colin Robbins and the late Alta Robbins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harold H. Ruppe; a son Philip Ruppe; siblings Lois, Hoil, Howard, Louise, Thelma, Nellie, Colleen and Troy.

She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and Hovis loved to cook for family and friends.

Survivors include:

Two Sons: Charles Ruppe and his wife Dwan of Wilmington, NC Dennis Ruppe and his wife Jami of Rutherfordton

One Daughter-In-Law: Donice Ruppe

Two grandchildren: Keilah Ruppe Adria McManus and her husband Derrick.

One great-grandson: Declan Philip McManus

The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Shiloh Baptist Church.  The Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Paul Willis and Reverend Michael Sepaugh officiating. Interment will be at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton.
