Hoyle S. Blanton of Rutherfordton, age 78, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

He was the son of the late Roy Blanton and the late Lillie Watson Blanton and a native of Rutherford County. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers; Nathan Blanton, Calvin Blanton and Boyce Blanton.

Hoyle was a member of Grays Creek Baptist Church.

His wife of 58 years Nell W. Blanton.

Two Daughters: Dawn Hardin and her husband Robert Joyce Blanton

One Son: Dwayne Blanton and his wife Lisa.

6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Two brothers: David Blanton and Joe Blanton.

Two sisters: Rita Ruff and Vernelle Keever and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 7, 2020 at McMahan's Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Grays Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Bryan Ezell, Reverend Steve Price and Reverend Brian Cooper officiating.
