Jack Weaver Lynch (Doc), age 77, of Rutherfordton, died Sunday, August 23, 2020, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

He was the son of the late Abner Lynch and the late Myrtle Lynch and he was a native of Rutherford County. Doc was a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Florence Downey, Fannie Sane, and Nora Downey, and one brother Raymond Lynch.

Doc is survived by:

One Daughter: Rebecca Whitesides

Three Sisters: Mary Jo Kiser Ruth Thompson Sybil Saunders

One Brother: Henry Lynch

Two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He is also survived by numerous special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Wednesday August 26, 2020 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 26, 2020 with Reverend William Swink and Reverend Dr. Keith Stephenson officiating.  Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery following the funeral service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Fund; 2101 Rexford Rd. #165W Charlotte, NC 28211. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
