James Denton Anderson, age 71 , of Rutherfordton, died Friday, October 6, 2017, at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation & Living Center. He was the son of the late Kirby Anderson and late Lottie Anderson. James was a native of Rutherford County and a truck driver. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jimmy Todd Anderson and a sister Louise Anderson. Survivors include: His wife Jane Hollifield Three daughters: Lynn Palma and her husband Melser Jenifer Anderson Teresa Hollifield Greene and her husband Gregory Two sons: Kevin Anderson and his wife Anita Forest "Beadie" Hollifield and his wife Dianne Ten grandchildren: Michael, Alex, Jazmine, Josh, Skylar, Ariel, Lacey, Chad, Brittany and Joshua Eight great-grandchildren: Aaron, Katlyn, Hannah, Lee, Brittany, Josh, Chloe and Benjamin. Seven sisters: Sarah Whitley Carolyn Hunt and her husband Gene Betty Lowrance and her husband Bobby Gail Mincey Shirley Lovelace Maggie Townsend and her husband Tim Cathy Short Six brothers: Randy Anderson and his wife Linda Noah Anderson and his wife Debbie Jerry Anderson Alvin Anderson Bobby Anderson and his wife Tracey David Anderson and his wife Tammy and numerous nieces and nephews The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at McMahan's Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Greene and David Tomblin officiating. Interment will take place at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
