THE CARTEE SERVICE HAS BEEN MOVED TO MCMAHAN'S FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL AT 11:00 AM

James B. Cartee, age 82, of Forest City died Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Autumn Care of Marion.

James was the son of the late Zeb and Ethel Greene Cartee and native of Rutherford County.  He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Cartee and one son Eric Cartee.  He was an ordained missionary. James was a U S Marine Corp veteran for 20  years,  serving  during  the Vietnam War.  He loved  flea markets and collecting stuff.

Survivors include:

One Daughter: Lisa Cartee

One Son: Scott Cartee

Four Sisters:  Margaret, Betty, Linda and Ruby

One Brother: Garland

Five Grandchildren

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, March 15, 2021 at McMahan's Funeral Home.  The Graveside service will be at Rutherfordton City Cemetery at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 with Reverend Jackie Potter officiating.  Interment will be at Rutherfordton City Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.  McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
