James "Big Jim" Davidson, age 73 of Rutherfordton , died Thursday, May 3, 2018, at his daughters home in Inman, SC. Jim was the son of the late Robert Paul Davidson and a native of Cherokee County S C. He worked for Strickland Construction Company of Ellenboro as a heavy equipment operator for many years and also worked in logging. Jim loved racing and he was an avid outdoorsman. He always kept Coon dogs and loved to hunt Coons. He was preceded in death by his brother Dean Davidson. He is survived by his wife; Evelyn Davidson. One Daughter: Mary D. Schaefer and her husband Darren. One Son: Paul Davidson His mother Irene Davidson One Step-daugher: Gwen Harwood and her husband Stephen. Four Grandchildren: Brianna Schaefer, Sierra Davidson, Christopher Pulley and Brandy Langley. Three Great-Grandchildren The body will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 1:15 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, at Pores Ford Baptist Church. The Funeral service will be at Pores Ford Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2018 with Reverend Scott Moneyham officiating. Interment will be at Pores Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.
