James H. Spikes, "Jim" age 66, of Rutherfordton passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019, in Baltimore, Maryland while visiting a friend. He was preceded in death by his precious wife, Lucy L. Spikes and parents J.C. and Marguerite Spikes. He is survived by his son Jimmy (Katie) Spikes; step daughter Deborah J. Conner; stepson Scott Justice; grandsons Henry Spikes, Alan Conner, and Justin Conner (Amanda); granddaughters Anna Spikes, Brittany Conner and Ashley Franklin, great grandchildren Theodore, Gaige and Kensley; sister Carolyn (Jimmie) Middleton; and friend Judy Burns. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16th at McMahans Funeral Home, 249 South Main Street, Rutherfordton, North Carolina, with memorial service immediately following at noon.
