Jane Cole Willard, age 84, of Rutherfordton, NC, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Audrey Cole, and she was a native of Rutherford County. Jane had a love for birds and gardening, and she was a member of Adaville Baptist Church in Spindale, NC.. She volunteered for the Cherokee County Meals On Wheels organization in Gaffney, SC for many years. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Willard.

Jane is survived by, one daughter, Joanna Willard of Spindale, NC, one son, David Willard, and wife Melissa of Easley, SC, Barbara Hardin of Greeleyville, SC, Frances Cole of Woodruff, SC, Patricia Browder of Gaston, SC, and Sherry Allen of Forest City, NC. one brother, Frank Cole of Greeleyville, SC, and two granddaughters, Morgan, and Maggie Willard.

There will be a graveside service at Piedmont Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 20, 2022, with Reverend Jeff Pate and John Ward officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be to Samaritan's Purse; P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
