Jeanine Golden, age 91, of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Jeanine was born on December 25, 1934, and was a native of New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Louie Dass and Jenny Cheimelski. Jeanine had a deep love for animals and found joy in astrology, reading, holistic medicine, herbs, and action movies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Henrietta, and her brother, Raymond Chmielewski.

Jeanine is survived by her son, Eric Golden and his wife, Martha; her daughters, Deb Golden, and Jenny Rosser and her husband, Dave; her granddaughters, Vanessa Parton and her husband, Jess, and Nicole Turner and her husband, Rob; and her three great-grandchildren, Lilli, Lincoln, and Henry.

Private services will be held for Jeanine. In honor of her love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue, 380 US-221, Rutherfordton, NC 28139. McMahan’s Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
