Jessie Skipper Huntley, age 91, of Forest City, NC, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

She was the daughter of the late Brady and Viola Thompson. Jessie was a loyal and dedicated member of Holly Springs Baptist Church, where she served on the Food Committee for many years. She was widowed by her first husband, James Andrew Skipper Sr., and she was also widowed by her second husband, Reverend John Huntley. In addition to her parents and husbands, Jessie was also preceded in death by two sons, James Andrew Skipper Jr. (Andy), and Michael Steven Skipper (Steve).

Jessie is survived by one son, David Skipper Sr. of Forest City, one daughter-in-law, Nancy Skipper of Forest City, two grandchildren, David Skipper Jr. (LeighAnn) of Chesnee, SC, and Jennifer Owensby (AG Bermudez) of Forest City, and three great-grandchildren, Alexis Owensby of Forest City, and Maggie, and Nolan Skipper of Chesnee, SC.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, September 25, 2022, at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at Holly Springs Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 26, 2022, with Reverend Scott Moneyham and Reverend James Henson officiating.
