Jessie Jones, age 94, of Bostic, NC, formerly of Rutherfordton, passed away peaceful Thursday, May 23, 2024, at her home.

Jessie was a native of Mitchell County, NC, and the daughter of the late Hannah Gardner. Jessie was a longtime member at Second Baptist Church in Rutherfordton, where she was a leader of the Dorcas Class which she very much enjoyed. She was known for her home cooked meals that will be greatly missed by many. Jessie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be dearly missed. In addition to her mother, Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, C.F. Jones, one son, Ronnie Jones, one daughter, Cricket Jones, and all her siblings.

Jessie is survived by two sons, Scott Jones, and Freddie Jones (Kim), daughter-in-law, Marilyn Jones, six grandchildren, Kellianne, Cortney (Brad), Trent (Rebecca), Abbie (Josh), Chandler, and Lydia (Gabriel), nine great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a special recognition of her Eastwood Village Community that meant so much to her.

The graveside service will be at Rutherfordton City Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 26, 2024, with Reverend Travis Laflin officiating. Interment will follow. In accordance with Jessie's wishes there will be no formal visitation. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
