Jimmy Lee Queen, age 49, of Rutherfordton, NC, died suddenly Friday, August 26, 2022, at his home.

He was a native of Shelby and a graduate of Crest High School class of 1991.  Jimmy loved his family dearly, and he loved making people laugh.  He was preceded in death by his nephew William Adam Clay.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Heather Proctor Queen, two daughters, Destiny Leigh Queen, and Lily Rae Queen, one son, Garrett Queen, father and step-mother, Roger Dale Queen, and Jackie W. Hamrick, his mother, Cathy Waters and step-father Rick Medlin;  three brothers,  Joey Queen , Matthew Queen, Phillip Queen and one step-brother, Brandon Hamrick, all of Shelby, NC

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2022, with Reverend Joe Greene officiating.  Jimmy will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will be at Fellowship Holiness Church Cemetery,  Memorials may be made to Heather for a fund to support Jimmy's Children; 348 Rob Long Road; Rutherfordton, NC 28139. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
