Joan H. Fox, age 89, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Autumn Care of Marion.

She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Louise Harwood and she was a native of Cook County, IL. Joan spent most of her life in Jacksonville, FL. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rutherfordton where she served as the treasurer of her Sunday school class. In addition to her parents Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Fox, and her brother Robert A. Harwood.

She is survived by, one daughter, Diane Fox Earnest, and husband Steve, one son, Robert Fox, and wife Lori, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be at First United Methodist Church, Rutherfordton in the memorial garden at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 25, 2021 with Reverend Dr. In-Young Lee officiating.
