Helen JoAnn Arrowood Bailey, age 71, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Friday, April 24, 2020, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. She was a the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Arrowood and her birth mother Dora Arrowood.  She was a native of Rutherford County and widow of the late Jack Bailey. JoAnn was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church.  She was also preceded in death by 1 sister Ruby Hill and 3 brothers; W. J. Arrowood, Albert Arrowood Jr., Glen Arrowood. She is survived by One Daughter: Lee Arrowood  Walker and her companion Richard Cummons of Rutherfordton. One Granddaughter; Samantha Walker and her husband Brandon Hoots of Rutherfordton. Step-daughter: Teresa B. Garris and step-son Andrew Bailey of Lancaster. S.C. Two sisters:  Colene Nanney and her husband Hugh of Union Mills.  Frances Shehan of Spindale. Two brothers:  Roger Arrowood and his wife Susan of Kings Mountain.  Leonard Arrowood and his wife Carolyn of Forest City. A private family only service will be held Monday, April 27, 2020.  Interment will be at Piedmont Baptist Church Cemetery. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
