Joann Guffey Bostic, age 82, of Forest City, died Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Mack Camey Guffey and the late Annie Mae Guffey. Joann was of the Baptist faith. She was retired from Stonecutter Mills after 40 years of service and loved to paint ceramics. She will me remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by five brothers; Fred, Bill, Homer, Howard, and Lloyd Guffey and one sister Pauline Tucker. She is survived by: One Son: Terry Bostic and his wife Jean One Brother: Sam Guffey and his wife Elaine One Granddaughter: Tonya Bostic Keffer and her husband Jason One Great-Granddaughter: Elizabeth Bostic The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Grace Chapel in Forest City. The funeral service will be at Grace Chapel at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 with Reverend Ricky Poteat and Reverend Paul Lane officiating. Interment will be at Spindale City Cemetery.
