John Barry Logan, age 60, of Rutherfordton, NC died Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC. He was born May 1, 1958 in Spartanburg, SC to the late John Charles Logan and the late Virginia Mae Prince Logan. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rutherfordton. He graduated from Spartanburg High School, attended Spartanburg Methodist College and loved to study genealogy. He is survived by numerous loving cousins. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, October 12, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Rutherfordton, NC. The memorial service will be at First United Methodist Church of Rutherfordton at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 12, 2018 with Reverend Dr. Sydnor Thompson officiating. Interment will take place at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cleveland/Rutherford Kidney Association at 1017 North Washington St. Shelby, NC 28150.
