Joseph Lee Cuthbertson, age 69, of Rutherfordton, NC, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

A native of Rutherford County, Joe was the son of the late Tate Sam Cuthbertson and the late Eula Cuthbertson. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Heffner Cuthbertson.

Joe was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He loved his dogs, fishing, and his church family.

Survivors include, two sons, Chad Cuthbertson, and Clifton Cuthbertson, one grandson, Jordan Cuthbertson, two stepdaughters, Ella Smith (Jeff), Stephanie Lattimore (Joe), and father-in-law, Ray Heffner.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Fellowship Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Reverend Raymond Byrd officiating. Interment will be at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
