Judith Ann Knapp, age 81, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Sunday, September 22, 2024, at her home in Rutherfordton, NC.  She was raised in Milton PA.  Judith moved to Levittown, PA where she raised her three children.  She worked at a day care and loved taking care of children.  Her passion in life was rescuing stray animals.  She and Steven moved to Rutherfordton about 10 years ago.  She attended a local Methodist Church.  Most of all Judith can be remembered for her love, kindness and laughter she brought to others.

She is survived by her husband, Steven R. Knapp, two daughters, Sherry Batezel (Keith), and Sandra Brugger(Jeffrey), one son, Steven Walter (Debra), four grandchildren, Matthew Walter, Amber Brugger, Colin Brugger, and Heather Batezel, and two brothers, James Baylor, and Hank Baylor.

A celebration of life service will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to:  Heart of Foothills Animal Rescue; 380 US Highway 221 North, Rutherfordton NC 28139.
