Kenneth "Ken" Ray Atchley, age 73, of Union Mills, NC, died Friday, November 13, 2020, at his residence.

He was the son of the late Roy and Emma Atchley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Marshall Atchley.

Ken was a native of Rutherford county. He was also a member of Piney Knob Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Ken was an avid horseman who also loved to hunt and fish. He loved the Lord. Ken was the Best Papa Ever.

Survivors include his wife: Velda Atchley.

One Daughter: Kendra (Bryan) Greenlee

One Son: Kyle Atchley

Two Brothers: Ron (Barbara) Atchley Norman (Cornelia) Atchley

Four Granddaughters: Toren Greenlee, Peyton Greenlee, Kallyn Greenlee and Jadyn Greenlee

One Great-granddaughter: Sadie Stofer

Three sister-in-laws: Carolyn Atchley Nellene (Wayne) Ledbetter Kathy "Doodle" (Eric) Cole

The graveside service will be 3:00 PM Monday, November 16, 2020 at Piney Knob Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Michael Brown and James Haynes officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. Memorials can be made to the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
