Obituary

Kenneth Daniel, born on March 11, 1948, entered eternal rest on December 13, 2025, leaving behind a life marked by faith, service, learning, and quiet devotion to others.

Kenneth lived a life of steadfast commitment to his country, his church, his family, and his calling as an educator. He proudly served his nation in the Vietnam War as a member of the 18th Military Police Brigade, answering the call to duty with courage and honor. His dedication to service continued for decades through his distinguished 34-year career with the South Carolina Air National Guard, where his loyalty and professionalism earned the deep respect of those who served alongside him.

Education was both Kenneth's vocation and his passion. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Western Carolina University and later a Master's degree in Education from the University of South Carolina. With these foundations, he devoted many years to teaching in South Carolina, shaping young lives with patience, discipline, and a sincere belief in the power of learning.

A man of deep and abiding faith, Kenneth was a devoted member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. His service to the church was heartfelt and tireless, including roles as Sunday School Superintendent, Chair of the Nominating Committee, and faithful Usher. His leadership was quiet but steady, guided by humility, kindness, and a sincere love for the Lord and his church family.

Kenneth's character was shaped early as an Eagle Scout, a distinction that reflected the values he carried throughout his life—integrity, service, and responsibility. These principles were evident in all he did, from his military service to his work in education and his involvement in the church.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Elizabeth Daniel of Dallas; his brothers, Chris Daniel and Dennis Daniel; and his loyal and cherished dachshund, Boston Blackie, his constant companion.

Kenneth Daniel will be remembered as a faithful servant, a devoted father and brother, a respected teacher, and a man who lived with quiet strength and unwavering purpose. His legacy of service, faith, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
