Kenneth Marvin McEntire, Sr., age 84, of Cary, NC, originally from Rutherford County, passed away October 30, 2022, at his residence.  He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Selma Hardin McEntire, and son Kenneth Marvin McEntire, Jr., and wife, Chelsie, of Durham, NC; and brothers Ralph, Jr. (Pensacola, Florida}, and Jerry McEntire (Mill Spring, NC}. He was preceded In death by his parents, Ralph and Irene Linder McEntire; sisters Brenda Jones, Wilma Pearson, and brother Wayne McEntire.  He was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. He served in the U.S. Navy and his interests included restoring old cars, photography, and playing and singing bluegrass and gospel music.  He was employed by Alcatel in Raleigh before retiring.  Funeral service will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1810 Poors Ford Rd., Rutherfordton, NC, on Saturday, November 5:  Visitation from 10:00 to 11:00; Service at 11:00 at the church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
