L. B. Browning, Jr., age 86, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Friday, October 17, 2025, at his home.

He was the son of the late Losie Brooklyn Browning and the late Marie Frances Beers Browning and a native of West Virginia.   L B was preceded in death by his wife of 55 1/2 years  Brenda Gail Browning  and his sons Marvin Darryl Browning and Robert Lee Little Jr.  He attended Nealsville Church of God for many years.

He is survived by three daughters, Angela Rene Browning, Natalie Upton, and Addie Marie Browning, caregiver, Meranda Owens, one sister, Peggy Cooley, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 21, 2025 with Reverend Doug Carpenter officiating. Interment will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Forest City, NC.  McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
