Letha M. Scruggs, age 70, of Spindale, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation & Living Center.

She was the daughter of the late Everett and Edith Mathis and she was a native of Rutherford County. Letha was the widow of the late Ronnie Scruggs. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Rutherfordton. In addition to her parents and husband Letha was preceded in death by one brother, Spencer Lovelace of Raleigh.

She is survived by

One Daughter: Adina Hopper and husband Alan

Two Sisters: Ellen Stanley and Liz Owens

Three granddaughters Stephanie Bostic, Allyson Kirby, and Farren Upton and four great-granddaughters.

The family will receive friends from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM, Friday, October 30, 2020 at McMahan's Funeral Home.  The graveside service will be at Rutherfordton City Cemetery at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 30, 2020 with Reverend Brandon Wood officiating.
