Linda Burnett Potter, age 73, of Mill Spring, NC, died Saturday, September 7, 2024, at her home.

A native of Polk County Linda was the daughter of the late Willie B. Burnett and the late Mary Sue Ruff Burnett. She was a member of Sonrise Holiness Church where she was the secretary and treasurer over the years. Linda loved her farm and working in her garden. She loved her family and took care of everyone as long as she was able until her health declined. Linda was known for making her loved one's Black Walnut cakes for birthday celebrations. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her siblings, Bobby Burnett, William Burnett, Howard Burnett, and Connie Whiteside.

Linda is survived by her husband of 55 years Roger Lee Potter, her daughter, Allison Potter Keller, one son, Michael Lee Potter, one brother, Roger Allen Burnett (Debbie), six grandchildren, Caleb Potter (Hannah), Sebastian Potter ( Lauren), Tyler Keller (Kaila), Hannah Clontz (Jeremey), Lacee Keller (Jacob), Elijiah Clontz, three great-grandchildren, Sammy Clontz, Layla Robinson, and Colton Keller.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Sonrise Holiness Church in Polk County. The funeral service will be at Sonrise Holiness Church at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 12, 2024, with Reverend Bobby Brown officiating. Interment will be private at Sonrise Holiness Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
