Lois Hollifield Goforth, age 76, of Forest City, died Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Hospice House of Rutherford County. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Charlie Ausbury Hollifield and the late Ethel Thompson Hollifield. Lois loved to meet people, loved to color and was an avid animal lover. She was preceded in death by her husband J.P. Goforth, two brothers; Robert Hollifield and Paul Lee and one sister Edna Roberson. She is survived by: One Son: Scott Goforth and Angie Atkins Brothers in law: Vaughn Goforth and wife Cynthia Hicks Goforth and wife Betty Sister in law: Marilyn Goforth Three Grandchildren: Michael Goforth, Kyle Goforth and Chad Doggett Three Great-Grandchildren The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 with Reverend Jack Bridges officiating. Interment will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
