Lois A. Sane Spain, age 69, of Rutherfordton, NC, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at her home.

A native of Rutherford County, Lois was the daughter of the late Frank Sane and Fannie Lynch Sane. Lois was a lifetime member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She retired from Doncaster Tanner after working there many years. Lois was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Lois is survived by her husband, Michael Lewis Spain, her daughter, Becky Bowen (Bryan), her son, Chris Spain (Jessica), her brother, Gary Sane (Shelia), four grandchildren, Bryson Bowen, Stella Spain, Blade Emery, Severeign Moore, and great-grandchild, Remy Moore.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at the church at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 2, 2025 with Reverend James Henson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
