Loretta Thompson Williamson, age 79, of Nebo, NC, died Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Mission Hospital McDowell in Marion, NC.

A native of Polk County FL, Loretta was the daughter of the late Herman and Pearl Polston. She was a caretaker for over 20 years. In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Glen Thompson, and nine of her siblings.

Loretta is survived by one daughter, Teresa Thompson (Barry), three sons, Glen Richardson (Barbara), Earl Thompson (Cindy), and Timothy Thompson (Michelle), one brother, Harvey Polston (Barbara), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

All services will be held in Lakeland FL where Loretta grew up and lived most of her life. Interment will be at Socrum Cemetery, Lakeland, FL. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory.
