Margaret Collins Harris, age 74, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late Alvin and Dolly Collins, and she was a native of Landrum, SC. She was the widow of the late Coy Dean Harris. Margaret was a member at Pores Ford Baptist Church for many years, and she was recently a member of Long Branch Baptist Church in Forest City. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by one son, Ray Harris, and one brother, Wayne Collins.

She is survived by, one son, Danny Harris and wife Amanda, daughter-in-law, Lori Harris, two sisters, Jean Lockhart, and Frances Bridges, one brother Charles Collins, five grandchildren, Ashley Harris, Amanda Harris, Lindsey Harris, Malea Hunter, and Landon Harris, and four great-grandchildren, Tyler Harris, Dominque Bristol, Ariana Bristol, and Brayden Davis.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at McMahan's Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at Long Branch Road Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 27, 2021 with Reverend Jerry Ruppe officiating. Margaret will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service on Wednesday. The family has requested masks be worn at all services. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Interment will be at Pores Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
