Margaret Hodge Hill, age 99, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021, at Oak Grove Health Care Center.
She was the daughter of the late Willie Furman Hodge and the late Lela Sims Hodge and she was a native of Rutherford County. Margaret was the widow of the late Leroy Hill. She was a Charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and a long time employee of Doncaster Tanner Company. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by two brothers, Breymon Hodge and J. Faulton Hodge.
She is survived by
Three Daughters: Peggy Taylor (Claybern), of Mt. Airy, NC Pat Hill, of Rutherfordton, NC Sharon Wall (Randy), of Cliffside, NC
Five grandchildren, Darron and Greg Taylor, Jill Holder, Brent and Avery Wall, eight great-grandchildren, Abbey, Austin, Clay and Olivia Taylor, Logan and Ian Holder, Trey Upton, and Ashlan Earley, and one great-great-grandchild, Kohen Taylor.
Margaret will lie-in-state 10:00AM to 11:30AM, Monday April 12, 2021 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at Piedmont Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 12, 2021 with Claybern Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Piedmont Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rutherford County Humane Society, P.O. Box 998, Rutherfordton, NC 28139. An online guest register is available at www.mcmahansfuneralhome.com. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
