Marjorie Ward White, age 87, formerly of Union Mills died Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Rose Hill Retirement Community in Marion.

Marjorie was the daughter of the late Richard Ward & Essie Mae Walker Ward and a native of Rutherford County.  She was retired from Rutherford County Department of Social Services.  She attended Mountain Creek Baptist Church.  She was also preceded in death by her son Gerald Bennett,  two sisters; Lillian Gibson and Louise Haulk.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Bennett and his wife Tina of Rutherfordton, one granddaughter, Lauren Bennett Toms and her husband Noah of Rutherfordton, and one brother, Lewis Ward and his wife Joyce of Rutherfordton.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church.  The Funeral service will be at Oak Ridge Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Interment will be private at Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.  McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory in charge of arrangements.
