Mark Paul Gawenus, age 66, of Forest City, NC, died Friday, December 13, 2019, at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC.

He was the son of the late Paul Gawenus and the late Bernice Gawenus. Mark was a brick layer in New York State and he was a member of Vein Mountain Recreational Miners Club.

He is survived by his wife: Paula Moureaux.

Two Daughters: Jennifer Cora Gawenus of Pennsylvania Rebecca Marie Darrigo of North Carolina

Two Brothers: Dan Gawenus of Maine Brian Gawenus of Arkansas

Seven Grandchildren David Jr., Joshua, Logan, Zachary, Elizabeth, Brooke, and Kiley

There will be no local services for the Gawenus family. Arrangements are being handled by McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
