Martha Norville Baker, age 92, of Union Mills, NC, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Mal Norville and the late Ruby Smawley Norville and she was a native of Rutherford County. Martha was the widow of the late J C Baker. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother; Mal Norville Jr., and four sisters; Jennie Lee Keller, Rosa Davis, Pauline Guffey, and Bonnie Geer. Martha was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church for many years and she graduated from Mount Vernon high school in 1944. Some of her favorite things to do were to watch westerns and to do puzzle books. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She is survived by One Daughter: Martha Towery and her husband Gary Two Sons: Mitchell Baker and his wife Marsha Terry Baker and his late wife Regena Morrison Baker Two Sisters: Nancy Taylor Sarah Bollinger Eight Grandchildren Fifteen Great-Grand children The family will be gathered in the Pisgah United Methodist Church Fellowship hall from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 30, 2020.  The graveside service will be at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 30, 2020 with Reverend Keys Pendleton Sr. and Mike Haire officiating. Interment will be at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Pisgah United Methodist Church; 3621 Pea Ridge Rd. ; Bostic N.C 28018.
