Mary Catherine Robertson Cooksey, age 84, died Monday, October 12, 2020, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

She was the daughter of the late William Robertson and the late Helen Louise Bates Robertson. Mary was a native of McDowell County and a member of Pilgrims Way Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Melton, one son, Jerry McAbee, and two sisters, Gladys McCurry and Wilma Ollis.

Two Daughters: Sharon Melton and husband Michael Jackie Lail

Four Sisters: Dorothy Robertson, Jean Carpenter and husband Lee, Brenda Greer and husband Everette, and Dianne Robertson.

Seven Grandchildren Eight Great-Grandchildren

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at McMahan's Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 20, 2020 with Reverend Wayne Stafford officiating.
