Mary Sue Poole Roach, of Forest City, NC, born August 20, 1935, died Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

Mary was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Dave and Dora Poole. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Craig Reid Roach, Jr., her siblings, Dora Poole Wadell and Otis, Cora Poole Martin and George, Muriel Poole Henderson and Ed, Dorothy Poole Biggerstaff and Frank, Annie Poole Spivey and Theodore, Bobby Poole, David Poole, and Vernie Blackwell. Mary worked as a winder operator at Spindale Mills and graduated from Green Creek in 1953.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Kathy Sue Thomas(Stacy), and Donna Felina Roach, and her son, Eric Banning Roach (Sheryl), she had numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a gathering service at McMahan's Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, August 23, 2025. Interment will be private at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
