Mary Charles (Rich) Stephens passed away at her home in Rutherfordton, NC, on March 11th, 2022. She was born on April 9, 1942, the daughter of the late Billie Rich and Mildred (Foil) Rich, and was raised in Kokomo, MS.

She and her husband lived in Germany and Navarre, FL before moving to Hendersonville, NC. They moved to Rutherfordton, NC to be near her sons and grandchildren. Mary enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband. Her grandchildren will remember the many stories she told and the wisdom she imparted.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Larry L. Stephens, two sons, Michael (Karen) Lugo, and Jeffery Lugo, stepchildren, Gwen and Benjamin Stephens, grandchildren, Stephanie (Nathan Shomette), Michael, Gabriel, Veronica, Oceana, Raphael and Teresa, and her brother, James Rich.
