Mary Shehan, age 91, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bryant Shehan, her daughter, Marie Shook, and by four of her siblings.

Mary is survived by her son, Martin Shehan, and his wife Rose Ann, two sisters, Ann Martin, and Lydia Bradshaw, two brothers, Marvin Story, and Bob Story, one son-in-law, JD Shook, one granddaughter, Angela Cooper, and her husband Doug, and two great-grandchildren, Julia Dawn Cooper, and Lillie Dawn Cooper.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Interment will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
