Maureen Fitzgerald-Wilkerson, age 80, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024, at Fair Haven of Forest City.

A native of Long Island, NY, Maureen was the daughter of the late Buddy and Gerry Fitzgerald. Maureen was the widow of Michael Wilkerson, and she was also preceded in death by her son, Keith Michael Johnson, and her two brothers.

Maureen is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Elizabeth Sanders, her son-in-law, Dave Sanders, three sisters, Gerry Klock, Mona Burnham, and Christine Fitzgerald (Ronnie), three grandchildren, Heather Ashley Sanders-Enloe, Kayla Sage Johnson, and Thane Johnson, and three great-grandchildren.

In accordance with Maureen's wishes there will be no services. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
