Myrtle Belle Weeks, age 91, of Stanley, NC, died Thursday, October 26, 2017, at her daughters home in Stanley, NC. She was the daughter of the late Claude Rhom and the late Joney Arrowood Rhom and she was a native of McDowell County. Myrtle was first married to the late Edward Rumfelt and then married to the late Charles Weeks. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Nebo. She was formerly from Rutherfordton. She was preceded in death by two daughters; Wanda (Susie) Marr and Mary Lou Jaynes; three brothers Howard, Bud and Toby Rhom; one sister Geneva Watkins and three grandsons. She is survived by Her Daughter and caregiver Ann Lyman, Stanley, NC Four Sisters: Virginia Rumfelt Mildred Lawing Mae Davis Jean Starrett Long time friend and caregiver: Susie Smith Nine Grandchildren Fifteen Great-Grandchildren Five Great-Great-Grandchildren The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Monday, October 30, 2017 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 30, 2017 with Reverend Linda Perrigan and Reverend Leon Brown officiating. Interment will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Nebo, NC. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
