Patricia Ann Arrowood Hardin, age 78, of Rutherfordton, went home to be with the Lord peacefully, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. Pat was a native of Rutherford County, and daughter of the late Jack and Edna Arrowood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wyman Hardin. In addition to her parents and her husband,  Pat was preceded in death by her sister, Reba Arrowood Haughn, two nephews, Jack Ford and Mike Ford, and two nieces Vickie Kennedy and Ginger Ford. Pat worked as the Library Director at Norris Library in Rutherfordton for 47 years.

Survivors include, one sister, Sandy Arrowood Roane (Larry), niece, Heather Roane, and nephews, Matt Roane (Jane), and Josh Roane (Tori), great nieces and nephews, Shelby Roane, Spencer Roane, Isabelle Kennedy, and Kylee Roane. Pat was the guardian for Ben Kennedy, Lexie Kennedy, Braydon Kennedy, Kenna Queen, Maddie Self, and Hunter Self.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM, Friday, September 20, 2024 in the sanctuary of Second Baptist Church.  The funeral service will be at Second Baptist of Rutherfordton at 11:30 AM, Friday, September 20, 2024 with Reverend Dr. Keith Stephenson and Reverend Brandon Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Rutherfordton City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Norris Library; 132 North Main Street, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
