Paulette Horne Grills, age 82, of Forest City, NC, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025.

A native of Garland, AR Paulette was the daughter of the late James Horne and the late Genava Horne. In addition to her parents, Paulette was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Grills, and her sister, Linda Sigman. She worked as a service representative with the social security administration for 25 years. Paulette raised two boys on her own that have become successful in their lives. Her boys as well as the rest of her family will miss her greatly.

Left to cherish Paulette's memory are her two sons, John McClard and his wife Leeta and his family, of Centennial, CO, Gregg McClard and his wife Donna and his family, of Opelika, AL, one sister, Barbara J. Treybig and her husband John, of Hot Springs, AR, six grandchildren, more than five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Paulette's wishes there will be no services. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
