Peggy G. Hardin, age 90, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Oak Grove Health Care Center.

Peggy was the daughter of the late John Crayton Grant and Sarah Ann Robertson Grant. She was the widow of the late Glen Hardin. A native of Rutherford County, Peggy graduated from Tri High School in the class of 1948/1949. She retired from Bell South after working there about 45 years. Peggy was a member at Holly Springs Baptist Church. She was an avid church goer and bible reader. In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers, Max Grant, and Bill Grant.

Peggy is survived by her nephew and caregiver, Larry Hardin of Rutherfordton, other family members, and special friends, and her church family that loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at Holly Springs Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 7, 2022, with Reverend Scott Moneyham officiating. Interment will be at Southern Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
