Ray Shehan, age 87, of Rutherfordton, died Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

He was the son of the late James Shehan and the late Lucy Shehan. Ray was a native of Rutherford County. He worked many different jobs in the local textile mills. In addition to his parents Ray was preceded in death by his wife Lynda Lovelace Shehan.

Survivors include:

One Daughter: Leitha Ramsey

Two Sons: Jimmy Shehan Charlie Shehan

A private burial will take place. The family asks you to spend time with your family in place of having a service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills PO Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 249 South Main St., Rutherfordton, NC in charge of arrangements.
