Raymond Belvin Heffner, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home on October 24, 2024. He was our beloved Dad and Poppa, and we cherish each precious moment spent in his presence. He loved his family, friends, fishing and telling stories from his long and happy life. He lived the Golden Rule and was loved by all who knew him. He was a Quality Control Manager at Reeves Brothers, where he worked for 37 years.  The love of his life and his wife of 43 years, Libby, passed away in 1999. Their greatest joys were spending time with their family and traveling together. We miss them beyond measure but rejoice that they are together again.  Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Bert and Mary Sue Ruff Heffner, and two children, Tony and Karen.

He is survived by his brother Mike Heffner (Cynthia); daughters Debbie O'Toole (Terry) and Stephanie Lattimore (Joe); daughter-in-law Tammy Heffner; grandchildren Ella Smith (Jeff), Ben Miller (Erin), Ashley Heffner, Michael Heffner, Abby Beaumont, Maggie Beaumont, Lorelei Beaumont, Rhett Beaumont, Katie McGuigan-O'Toole, and Megan O'Toole; great-grandchildren Theo and Felix Smith, Wyatt, Kenna and Hoytt Miller, Briana Heffner and Marley Haynes.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday, October 28, 2024 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The memorial service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 28, 2024 with Reverend Dr. Keith Stephenson officiating. Interment will follow at Rutherfordton City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Grace of God Rescue Mission, PO Box 212, Forest City, NC 28043.
