Richard Earl McClellan, age 71 years 9 months and 2 days, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Friday, August 25, 2017. He was the son of the late Earl Jackson McClellan and Alma Conner Taylor. He was a U S Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Richard worked as a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by: One Sister: Patricia Barnes and her husband Thomas of Arden, NC Three nieces: Sherry, Misti and Christy Three great nieces and two great nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, August 27, 2017 at McMahan's Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 28, 2017 with Reverend Dean Baughn officiating.
