Willie Griffis, age 24, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Tuesday, August 30, 2022,

He was the son of Matthew Griffis and Sunny Gonzalez-Cepero. Willie was a native of Asheville, NC.

He worked as a cook and was loved by many family and friends.

In addition to his parents Willie is survived by, his fiance, Anna Hornback, step-father, Michael Cepero, mother-in-law, Gloria Hornback, maternal grandmother, Lucy Gonzalez, paternal grandmother, Ginny Griffis, paternal grandfather, Ronald Griffis, three sisters, Victoria Gonzalez, Adalyna Griffis, and Izabella Cepero, Sarah Hornback who was like a sister, six brothers, Matthew Griffis, Willy Cepero, Wyatt Griffis, Robert Cepero, Romeo Cepero, and Xander Phillips.

A memorial service conducted by the family will be held at a later date.
