Ronald Reid Yelton, Sr. age 63, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, at his home.

He was the son of the late Pinkey Reid Yelton and the late Daisy Yelton and he was a native of Rutherford County.  Ronald loved fishing, and any kind of racing, Tony Stewart was his favorite NASCAR driver. He loved to cut up, make people laugh, and to have a good time. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by, one daughter, Carol Renee Yelton, and one grandson, James Avery Yelton.

Ronald is survived by, one daughter Elizabeth Jane Whitener, and Jeremy Briggs, four sons, Ronald Reid Yelton, II, and Candy, Jessie Lee Yelton, and Angela Doster, Jamie Lynn Yelton, and Amanda, Mark Anthony Yelton, and Ronda, five sisters, Marie Henderson, Annie Head, Denise Foot, Pinkie Tessnair, and Carol Tessnair, three brothers, Wayne Yelton, Bill Yelton, and Charlie Yelton, thirteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 5, 2021, at McMahan's Funeral Home.  Following the visitation there will be a celebration of life gathering at McMahan's Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM where memories of Ronald will be shared.
