Sandra Wilson Baynard, age 76, of Union Mills, NC, died Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

She was the daughter of the late Jeff Wilson and Augustine Walker Wilson and a native of Rutherford County. Sandra was also preceded in death by her husband, Dazel Lee Baynard, a sister, Patsy Ann Wilson, two brothers, Jeffie Wilson, and Gary Wilson. Sandra worked at Mastercraft for many years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Rutherfordton.

Sandra is survived by one daughter, Tonya Baynard Mitchell (Todd), two brothers, Donnie Wilson, and Michael Wilson, one granddaughter Briana Kay Rodriguez (Jeremy), and two great-grandchildren,  Jeremiah Rodriguez and Dazelee Kay Rodriguez.

The memorial service will be held at Second Baptist Church of Rutherfordton at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 18, 2023, with Reverend Dr. Keith Stephenson officiating. The visitation will be from 2:00PM to 3:00PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043. McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
